Look what I found.....

Old Photos!!
This past weekend while clearing out clutter
for the garage sale I came across these old photos.
I actually took all of these shots myself...yep little ole me...
the first one
~  goats on a dirtroad ~
was taken back in 1987
on my Grandparents farm here in North Carolina
I love this pic! I remember the moment I took it..
My Grandmother ( MaMaw) was standing right beside me....
I miss her. I miss the farm.
They had a great farm!
( today there are about 100 homes where the farm used to be ) :-(
I had forgotten about this pic until I found it in a box
I'm so glad I have it!

Now granted~  these are not professional pics but
they were taken with an old 35MM Camera
(a good one)
but still....
these were just prints that I found in a box
scanned them into my computer
then played around in picnik ( my new addiction)
and voila! I have great old photos that I love,
and can now share with all my blogger friends!

This one
I'll call it...
~ stumpkin ~
:-)
was taken about the same time
at Blacks Produce in Denver, NC
Just a few miles from where I grew up.

~ blueridge beauties ~

These beautiful horses were grazing in their pasture
along the Blue Ridge Parkway near Boone, NC
My sweetie and I stopped to take in the scenery and
snap a few pics....it was beautiful!!
I love how the one horse is looking at me...:-)

~metro expo~
This photo was taken at the Metrolina Antique Show
in Charlotte, NC back in the late 80's as well.
I love that show and still try to go every month if I can.

~ sweet horse~
This sweetie was also along the Blue Ridge Parkway
she came right up to the fence when we stopped.
I love this pic...
 the barbed wire fence
the bark on the tree
the grey/white color of the horse
and she's looking right at me!

~ pretty little pinks~
I was working for Lake Norman Magazine
at the time I took this ~ the editor liked it so much
she published it in the monthly edition.
The pink daisies were growing along side this
old post in my Mom's backyard.

So finding these old photos has fallen right into
my project of changing things around on the blog.
I already changed the background & added a new header
ShabbyBlogs.com makes it EASY!!
next I want to create a button for JUNKWILD.
So here are a few I'm playing around with...
I'm not sure how to get the whole "button thing" to work
so if any of you have any tips please pass them on...
Let me know what you think of these!

This beautiful, old, chippy metal chair
sat under a giant oak tree in my backyard
in Davidson for about 8 years
I sold it ( I know!...what was I thinkin'!!)
It was about 6 different colors
I about cried when I saw this photo

This one( and the next) are of an old iron
chippy white
scroll bracket I have for sale
in the JUNKWILD space @ Treasures On Main.

I would love to hear what you think of these photos!
Did you have a favorite?

late addition...
I was going to post pics of my front porch decorated for Halloween...
but my daughter has been suffering with a toothache the last few days
and now needs a root canal :-(
so I spent most of the last two days
taking care of  Sweet Hannah...(my Grandbaby).
I am linking this post to
picnik is a big inspiration for me right now
to get out and take alot more photos !!
(Hope that's not to lame!)
Stay tuned for Halloween Decor pics to come !!

Thanks for stopping by!
XoXo

  5. Hello, Tammy! I agree with Linda. I love the grey mare picture. I discovered Picnik recently too and it has changed my life! lol If you are trying to make a button for yourself, you can either get someone like Valentine Designs to do it in HTML or just post a photo/logo and ask people to copy it to their blog with a link from the "add a gadget" section. Hope that helps!

  6. Thanks so much for commenting and following on my blog. So glad to have found you too. Isn't it fun to dig up old photos like that and to be reminded of days gone by. I was born in Greensboro, NC and went back and visited my grandparents over the years until they retired in Fl and then passed away. I love NC. Love the mountains mostly. Such a beautiful place. Will be back to visit often.

  15. Those are great photos, my favorite is the one of the horse and the goats. I grew up on a gentleman's farm, meaning my father kind of did it as a hobby, he was a math teacher until he retired. Anyway, my best friend raised goats and as kids if I slept over I had to get up at the crack of dawn to feed and milk them. Happy memories.

  17. Hi Tammy, I do love the photo of the fence and the pink flowers. I like the button of the rusty chair. We have one in the yard more rusty than that we are going to paint "one" day. So glad you found these images. hugs♥olive
